Jill was introduced to Pilates as a young dancer in NY while attending SUNY Purchase Fine Arts Program and enjoyed the benefits of improved core strength and stability for hypermobile joints. Later, as a dance instructor and choreographer, Jill incorporated Pilates moves to enhance strength and flexibility for dancers and skaters. Today Pilates reformer exercises keep her pain free from poorly tracking knee caps... she notices when she takes 2 weeks off! When Club Pilates opened locally in late 2016, she jumped at the chance to become a certified instructor and help others achieve their fitness goals in CPs unique, multi-faceted setting. She also completed a certification in Leslie Bender's, Barre Above program in spring, 2018. Pilates has been a very fulfilling career path and a wonderful compliment to her skills in both dance and training. Jill has also worked in Corporations and Government agencies as an HR Generalist and Leadership Development Specialist and achieved an MA in Training, Curriculum Design, and Human Resources Development in the late 90s. She has a passion for whole foods plant-based cooking, nutrition, and education and completed a certificate program in Plant-Based Nutrition from Cornell University in 2013. In her free time, she spends time with her family, cooks with friends, assists with her daughter's ice skating team (Pilates and costuming) and volunteers in community theater.

I grew up in Ohio and went to school at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. After graduation I moved to Baton Rouge, LA to participate in an Americorps program where I worked for Habitat for Humanity. From there I began my career in corporate America and moved to Chicago, Los Angeles, Alexandria, VA and Wichita, KS before settling in Ashburn, VA in 2015. I started taking Pilates in 2009 as a cross-train for running and to be completely honest, I wanted to get in shape for my wedding. My vanity aside, I was an avid runner, but I often dealt with hip and back pain. I found that Pilates kept me healthy. In short, I was hooked, and I decided I wanted to learn more. I received my BASI certification in 2011 while I was pregnant with my first son. It was a great workout throughout my pregnancy and I truly believe Pilates aided in my delivery and recovery. I continued to work full-time in the corporate world until 2014 and taught intermittently. After I had my second son, I decided to stay home with my kids and I've enjoyed teaching part-time ever since. What I love most about Pilates is that no matter where you are on your fitness journey, Pilates can help you achieve your fitness goals. Whether you are an Ironman athlete, or you haven't stepped foot in a gym in 10 years, there is a workout for you.

I first discovered Pilates after moving to NoVA and trying a local mat class. I was instantly hooked, and loved how I was challenged in every single class and always came away feeling happy. After several years of practice, I took the plunge to become a certified instructor. I am certified through BASI and have been teaching in the area since 2013.
