Ms. Amy was born and raised in Stroudsburg, PA (near the Poconos). She attended IUP in Indiana, PA obtaining her degree in Political Science-Public Administration. She moved to Davis, CA with her husband Fred where she began her Early Childhood Education Career working for the State of California. She has never looked back...she fell in love with making a daily difference in the lives of the children. She and her husband settled in Ashburn to raise their family. They have 3 amazing children, they have 11 year-old twins Max and Lilly and 6 year-old Henry. Ms. Yaneth originally from El Salvador. She started to work at KinderCare Learning Center in 2007. She is a mother of an 11-year-old daughter and an 8- year-old son. Ms. Yaneth loves working with children of all ages. Teaching is her passion. Ms. Yaneth wanted to help the children in her native El Salvador gain the knowledge needed in order to be successful in school and life, so they did not have to live in poverty. Her passion for education continues in her new home in the United States. Ms. Yaneth wants to be able to help the children grow and develop and lead successful and rewarding lives. All in all, the children help her just as much, if not more, as Ms. Yaneth helps them.
I grew up on a farm in Middleburg, Mountsville area, in Loudoun County. I was the youngest of five children and always had a great fondness for teaching after being chosen so many times to be a substitute teacher while still in high school. I was the first in my family to graduate the grade school, high school, and go to college. I went to Saint Paul's College in Lawrencville, VA for four years, majoring in Elementary education.<br /> I enjoy bringing the outdoors and the farm life to our classroom as well as all the joy and fun I had growing up.
