Founder/Pediatric DentistDr. Valerie Woo, affectionately known as Dr. Val, is the founder of NOVA Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics. After earning her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, Dr. Val graduated from Harvard School of Dental Medicine and completed her residency at Children's Hospital, Boston. Since opening the doors to NOVA Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics in 2006, Dr. Val has devoted herself to serving Loudoun County families with joyful, evidence-based pediatric dental care in a welcoming, community-first environment. As a mother of four, Dr. Val is deeply rooted in the area and brings warmth, empathy, and mentorship to every interaction—leading a multi-doctor team built on service, trust, and connection. She is passionate about empowering young clinicians, investing in next-generation technology, and guiding families from their child's first tooth through all their smile milestones. Outside the office, Dr. Val is an avid traveler and endurance runner who believes in continuous growth, both personally and professionally.

Dr. Courtney Ullrich
OrthodontistDr. Courtney Ullrich is the dedicated leader of the orthodontic division at NOVA Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics. She holds a BS from Dickinson College, a DMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, and an Orthodontic Certificate from Montefiore Medical Center. Since joining NOVA PDO right out of residency, Dr. Courtney has worked closely with families to provide expert orthodontic care, from early assessments to Invisalign and traditional braces. Known for her approachable, friendly demeanor and attention to every child's unique needs, Dr. Courtney embodies the spirit of service, growth, and community that sets the practice apart. Outside the office, she enjoys running, hiking, spending time outdoors with her rescue dog, and reading—a passion for learning she brings into her patient care.
